COVID-19 vaccine community clinic to be held at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church July 23

Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) will have a walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. hosted at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 1707 Smiley Lane, Saturday, July 23. Members of the public are welcome to attend. No appointments are needed. Residents can receive any dose in a series, including boosters, at the clinic. To check booster eligibility, visit cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/booster-shot.html or call 800.232.0233.Vaccines are free and do not require ID or health insurance. Anyone aged 6 months and older is eligible for Pfizer. Anyone aged 18 and older is eligible for Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson. While there are Moderna vaccines available for individuals ages 6 months to 17 years, PHHS is currently only administering Pfizer vaccines to this age group.Parental consent forms are required for anyone under the age of 18.Vaccination opportunities are also available with other local vaccinators.
