Home Plate program returns

After a year break due to the COVID-19 crisis, the Home Plate program is back and looking for volunteer families from the St. Louis region and the Washington University in St. Louis community to host students in their homes for casual dinner and conversation.

Founded in 2002 by Risa Zwerling Wrighton, wife of Chancellor Emeritus Mark S. Wrighton, Home Plate helps new students feel at home in St. Louis and offers the community an opportunity to engage with talented students from across the globe. Home Plate families typically welcome groups of two to four students to their homes two to three times per academic year. Many families remain connected with their students for the duration of their years at Washington University.

To become a host family, email Zwerling Wrighton at zwerling@wustl.edu
